Doordarshan to air mega-serial ‘Swaraj: Bharat Ke Swatantrata Sangram ki Samagra Gatha’ serial from August 14
Doordarshan is going to start telecasting a 75-episode mega-serial ‘Swaraj: Bharat Ke Swatantrata Sangram Ki Samagra Gatha’ in Hindi from August 14 (Sunday) in its DD National channel from 9.00 pm to 10.00 pm at night, stated Shri Sudhangshu Ranjan, Additional Director General (CO), Eastern Zone, Doordarshan today. In a press conference, Shri Ranjan also said, this mega-serial will showcase India’s historical journey from 1498, the discovery of Indian sea route by the Portuguese explorer and the first European to reach India by sea, Vasco da Gama by way of Cape of Good Hope to 1947 when the country got independence.
The 75-episode serial will be telecasted in DD Bangla in Bengali from August 20, 2022. It is to be mentioned that the ‘Swaraj’ serial was launched on August 5, 2022, in a function at Akashvani Bhavan at New Delhi by Union Home Minister Shri Amit Shah in presence of the Union Minister for Information and Broadcasting Shri Anurag Singh Thakur and the Union Minister of State for Information & Broadcasting Dr L Murugan.
The serial is being dubbed in nine regional languages along with English. The serial in regional languages other than Bengali- Assamese, Oriya, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi and Gujarati will be telecasted on Doordarshan’s regional channels from August 20. Its audio version will also be broadcast on All India Radio as well. The popular film actor, Shri Manoj Joshi, plays a stellar role as the narrator (sutradhar) of the serial. The serial has grand production quality and promises to be a visual treat. It will showcase the unknown stories of a glorious history of India’s freedom struggle and lesser-known tales about our history, stated Shri Ranjan 12 aug’22.
The serial in Hindi will be repeated on Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday. Besides, Doordarshan is also launching four other serials. These include “Jai Bharati”, “Corporate Sarpanch” and “Ye Dil Mange More”. These serials have messages of patriotism and women empowerment and will be telecast at prime time on DD National from Monday to Friday starting from August 15, 2022. Another serial “Suron Ka Eklavya” has high entertainment value as a reality music show and pays tribute to Bappi Lahiri. It will be telecasted on Saturday and Sunday at prime time 8 pm to 9 pm starting from August 14, 2022.
A show “Startup Champions 2.0” is also coming up on DD News and DD National. It will showcase the journey and success of 46 National award winning Startups. It will be on DD News on Saturdays at 9 pm and on Sunday on DD National at 12 noon. The English version of this show will be on DD India every Saturday at 10 pm.
