EPFO extends the date of application for pension on a higher salary, apply till June 26

EPFO had started the online application process for verification of options or combined options from pensioners and members on the orders of the Hon’ble Supreme Court with the deadline of 3rd May. Now this date has been extended to 26 June. Till May 1, more than 12 lakh applications had been received. The time limit is being extended to facilitate and provide adequate opportunity for the pensioners/members to overcome any difficulties faced by them. The Supreme Court had held that the employees who retired before September 1, 2014, and who exercised the option under para 11(3) before their retirement, would be eligible for pension on higher pay.
