Harmanpreet Appeals To Team India During The Women’s T20 World Cup, Saying, “We Would Love To See Some Progress”

The current Women’s T20 World Cup captain of India, Harman preet Kaur, has urged her squad to improve ahead of a potential semifinal matchup with Australia. After the match was postponed on February 20 due to weather, India, coached by Smriti Mandhana, defeated Pakistan by five runs using the DL Method (February 20). India’s victory secured them a spot in the semifinals, but they must now work on certain elements of their performance.

Harman preet urges development

“Dot balls are something which [are] already worrying us. In the next game, we would love to see some improvement in that area also,” Harmanpreet Kaur said after the win against Ireland.

“Against England, we played too many dot balls,” Harmanpreet added.

Smriti Mandhana, the star batter for the Indian squad, earned praise for her 87 runs off 57 pitches. She contributed to a 62-run opening partnership with Shafali Verma. In 20 overs, India scored 155/6 thanks to the opening combination.

Ireland’s plans are ruined by the rain

Ireland, which was chasing 156, dropped two wickets in the first over alone, but they bounced back to score 44 after the first six overs. However, the rain gods had other ideas, and it began to pour while Ireland was still 5 runs short of the DLS par total. In the end, the game was abandoned, and India was the victor.
