Supreme Court Rejects A Request For The True History Of The Taj Mahal

A plea asking for the true age and actual history of the Taj Mahal was denied by the Supreme Court on December 5, according to PTI.
Surjit Yadav, a resident of Haryana, presented t
he petition to the Justices MR Shah and CT Ravikumar’s bench.
According to PTI, the court permitted Yadav to change his mind and present his case to the Archaeological Survey of India.
Yadav had argued in his petition that, according to his research, a mansion had previously stood where the Taj Mahal now stands.
The Taj Mahal was built under the direction of Mughal emperor Shah Jahan and was completed in 1653. The mausoleum, according to certain Hindutva pseudo-historians, was built before Shah Jahan and well before the Mughal reign in India started.
A petition asking for the Taj Mahal’s 22 rooms to be opened so that Hindu idols or religious texts could be checked was denied by the Supreme Court in October.
