How Trinamool MP Greeted Former Bengal Governor Jagdeep Dhankhar In Congress

The Trinamool Congress (TMC), was in power at the time, and he was constantly at odds. A TMC MP greeted Jagdeep Dhankhar with the words “Aap Aaye Toh Bahar Aaye” as he assumed the chairmanship of the Rajya Sabha, demonstrating that there was no lack of politeness from Mamata Banerjee’s party.

Mr. Dhankhar served in the Upper House for the first time in his new capacity during the Winter Session of Parliament.

The TMC chose not to participate in the vice presidential election earlier this year, where Mr. Dhankhar was running as a member of the BJP-led National Democratic Alliance.

The TMC MP continued by mentioning the Hindi proverb “Aap Aaye to Bahar Aaye.”

The TMC has asked the Rajya Sabha Chairman to give members of smaller parties more time to speak on the floor of the house. Additionally, it has demanded that select committees and standing committees examine bills.

On a number of issues, Mr. Dhankar and the Mamata Banerjee-led West Bengal government frequently disagreed, leading to scathing Twitter discussions.
