IFUNA is having Special Consultative Status with ECOSOC of United Nations and is affiliated with the World Federation of UN Associations, Geneva, New York. Former Presidents of IFUNA includes Late Acharya Narendra Dev a great socialist leader Late Mrs. Vijaya Laxmi Pandit, former President United Nations General Assembly, Late Mrs. Rajan Nehru, Late Mrs. Savitri Nigam – Member of Parliament, Banda, U.P., Late Shri Ramkishan Hegde, Former Chief Minister, Karnataka and Late Shri Ram Niwas Mirdha, Former Central Minister among others. IFUNA’s Secretary General Shri Suresh Srivastava in the recently held elections of the world body (WFUNA) was elected with the thumping majority getting 33 votes out of 39 votes casted by the UNA’s of the different countries.
