Dhoni becomes first keeper to complete 200 dismissals in IPL history

​In a historic milestone, MS Dhoni has become the first wicketkeeper in Indian Premier League (IPL) history to achieve 200 dismissals. This landmark was reached during Chennai Super Kings’ (CSK) recent match against Lucknow Super Giants. Dhoni’s 200 dismissals comprise 155 catches and 46 stumpings, underscoring his exceptional skills behind the stumps .​

At 43 years and 281 days old, Dhoni also became the oldest player to receive the Player of the Match award in IPL history, surpassing the previous record held by Pravin Tambe . In the same match, Dhoni contributed a quickfire 26 runs off 11 balls, showcasing his enduring batting prowess.
