Karnataka Tourism proudly concluded its participation at the recently held Travel and Tourism Fair (TTF) Ahmedabad, at Mahatma Mandir Convention & Exhibition Centre, Gandhinagar, from 7th to 9th August 2024, marking a successful showcase of the state’s rich cultural heritage, diverse tourism offerings, and strategic collaborations with industry stakeholders. The Karnataka Tourism Pavilion was honored with the Excellence Award for Best Design and Decoration, further highlighting the state’s commitment to excellence in promoting its tourism potential.
Karnataka Tourism’s presence at TTF Ahmedabad was highlighted by a dynamic representation of the state’s vibrant tourism sector. The delegation, led by Dr. S. Thippaswamy, Deputy Director, Directorate of Tourism, Government of Karnataka, Mr. Srinivas, Public Relations Officer, Karnataka State Tourism Development Corporation Ltd., Mrs. Sujatha, Manager, Jungle Lodges and Resorts Ltd, and Mrs. Shobha, Manager, Jungle Lodges & Resorts Ltd., were joined by key stakeholders from various sectors, including hospitality, travel agencies, tour operators, and representatives from heritage and eco-tourism initiatives, all united in their mission to promote Karnataka as a premier travel destination.
The Karnataka Tourism Pavilion was graced by the visit of the Principal Secretary of Tourism, Government of Gujarat Shri Rajendra Kumar (IAS), and Managing Director and Commissioner of Tourism Ms. Saidingpuii Chhakchhuak (IAS).
The state’s booth captured significant attention, showcasing a diverse range of attractions and experiences, with a special focus on the renowned Hoysaleshwara Temple of Halebidu. Highlights included Karnataka’s UNESCO World Heritage Sites, such as the stunning Hampi, the impressive Pattadakal, and the elaborate temples of Belur. Each site was highlighted as a testament to Karnataka’s rich historical and architectural legacy, offering visitors a window into the state’s vibrant heritage. Additionally, the booth featured Karnataka’s pristine beaches, verdant hill stations, and flourishing wildlife sanctuaries, further demonstrating the state’s natural and cultural diversity
Throughout the event, the Karnataka Tourism delegation engaged in productive meetings with travel professionals, tour operators, and potential partners. These discussions opened avenues for collaboration, aimed at enhancing tourism packages, creating innovative travel experiences, and boosting tourist inflow to Karnataka.
