In a recent conversation, Priyanka Chopra’s mother, Madhu Chopra, discussed her daughter’s early days in the movie business and the effects of media interference on their lives. Madhu clarified that because they had no prior experience in cinema, they were first unaware of the impact that media attention would have on them. However, they suffered as a result of the unfavorable remarks made about Priyanka in the media. Nevertheless, Madhu admitted that her faith in Priyanka’s skills enabled them to get through those trying moments.

In an interaction on the YouTube channel, Madhu shared, “We were very new, and we came from another industry. We were both doctors and film industry was absolutely new to us. We had stars in our eyes and we didn’t think of it as a hell hole. Such negative things didn’t even come to our mind when we came here.”

“Then we saw the dirt in it and we would feel the pain during the beginning but Priyanka sat us down and told us, ‘Mom you know me best. So why believe all that rubbish.’ After that everything became alright,” she said.

In 2002, Priyanka Chopra made her acting debut in the Tamil movie Thamizhan. She made her Hollywood debut as a vocalist with songs like “In My City” and “Exotic,” following her roles in critically acclaimed Hindi films including Don, Kaminey, Fashion, 7 Khoon Maaf, and Barfi. Later, she starred in movies like Love Again, The Matrix Resurrections, A Kid Like Jake, and Baywatch. In the future, she will co-star with John Cena and Idris Elba in Head of State, and she is working on Frank E. Flowers’ The Bluff.
