Martyrs’ Day 2025 Commemorated with Tributes and Remembrance

News Mania Desk : Martyrs’ Day 2025 was solemnly observed across the nation on January 30th, honoring the brave souls who sacrificed their lives for the country’s freedom and dignity. The day, also known as Shaheed Diwas, marks the assassination anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi and serves as a tribute to all martyrs who fought for justice and independence.

In New Delhi, the President, Prime Minister, and other dignitaries paid homage at Raj Ghat, the memorial of Mahatma Gandhi. A two-minute silence was observed at 11:00 AM to honor the fallen heroes. Various events, including prayer meetings and discussions on the values of non-violence and peace, were organized in educational institutions and public spaces.

Across the country, citizens participated in candlelight marches, patriotic plays, and exhibitions showcasing the contributions of freedom fighters. Social organizations and government bodies held blood donation drives and charity initiatives in memory of the martyrs.

On this occasion, the Prime Minister emphasized the importance of upholding the values for which these heroes laid down their lives. “Their sacrifices remind us of our duty to the nation, and it is our responsibility to build a just, peaceful, and progressive society,” he stated.

Martyrs’ Day serves as a powerful reminder of the sacrifices made by countless individuals for the nation’s freedom and progress. The day concluded with renewed pledges by citizens to uphold the ideals of democracy, unity, and peace.
