Police Investigating The Mangaluru Auto Blast Discover A Rigged Cooker
The state police chief stated on November 20 that the autorickshaw explosion in Mangaluru, Karnataka, on November 19 was not an accident but rather an act of terror with the purpose to cause catastrophic damage. Praveen Sood, the senior officer in Karnataka, stated that both local and federal agencies are involved in the investigation.
Central investigation teams are aiding the police in this matter, according to Araga Jnanendra, the home minister for Karnataka.
According to sources cited by NDTV, the police have found a burnt pressure cooker with batteries inside the autorickshaw.
According to Mr. Sood, who was speaking to NDTV, the driver’s passenger is the primary suspect. The passenger was in possession of an Aadhar card, which was later determined to belong to a Hubbali guy. The Aadhar card’s photo appeared to be of him, but it is not. This provides us a good sense that he had a target in mind, while we are unsure of what it was. We are not completely discounting his involvement in the recent Coimbatore blast. He hails from Karnataka and recently traveled outside the country. He had just returned from Coimbatore and various locations in Tamil Nadu. A low-intensity bomb detonated it. He had somewhere to go.
Central intelligence authorities claim that the suspect obtained a SIM card from Coimbatore using a fictitious name. He had traveled throughout Tamil Nadu, based on the positions of his towers. Sources told NDTV that his call records are being looked at to identify his Tamil Nadu-based colleagues.
The autorickshaw driver and a passenger were both hurts when the vehicle detonated next to a structure that was undergoing construction.
Police released CCTV images from the scene that showed the autorickshaw catching fire after what appeared to be a small explosion.
