Meet 17-year-old BYJU’S Student Who Aims To Become An ISRO Scientist To Serve His Country

With absolute passion and dedication Aparup Roy, a Class 10 BYJU’S student from Durgapur, West Bengal is making his city and state proud by advancing in the field of science. He has received more than 15 record breaking achievements and a few of his feats include two books on Chemistry published under his name, two research papers published in internationally recognised journals, and several other accolades in the field of space, science, and research. In all of this, he credits BYJU’S as it played an integral role in managing his studies and continuing with his dream.
During the pandemic, he enrolled in the ISRO’s ‘Young Scientist Programme’ to pursue his love for science. While he couldn’t make it in the first attempt, he decided to strive harder. That’s when he enrolled with BYJU’S to learn in a conceptual manner. BYJU’S visual content and immersive content helped him solidify his learning foundation. With the help of online classes, he was able to balance his research practice and study sessions with equal interest and dedication.
Later, Aprarup took the Go prep Talent Search Examination (GTSE)and received bronze and silver medal for the same. In his second attempt for ISRO, he secured an All-India Rank 11. Aparup has also conducted research on development of Mosquito repellent from Cow dung as he believed that the products available in the market are not safe and can cause skin infections. He created a herbal alternative which has been recognised by the government and got published in the journal. Aparup has been honoured with many international and national awards till date and has been the youngest one to solve the toughest mathematical problem for which he had got his name published by the Mathematical Gazette run by the Cambridge University Press.
