President Murmu And Mamata Banerjee Engage In The Christmas Celebrations

The holiday mood has swept over people in India and other countries, and the leaders are joining in by taking part in the festivities. To commemorate the birth of Jesus Christ, midnight masses were celebrated in churches all around the nation. Leaders like West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee and President Droupadi Murmu participated in the celebration by attending various church functions.

The office of President Murmu published a tweet in which images of her taking part were posted.

The Bengali government’s Trinamool Congress also tweeted something.

Another place where midnight mass provided a show for those celebrating the holiday season was Lucknow in the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh.

Christmas is being celebrated around the world this year with the lifting of pandemic restrictions. However, as China continues to struggle with a recent surge in cases, concern over the transmission of a new coronavirus type looms.
