Science And Technology Minister Holds News Conferences Anyhow Despite Superstitions Surrounding The Solar Eclipse

The partial solar eclipse that was visible from most of India on October 25, the day after Diwali, prompted many to ask Union minister, Dr. Jitendra Singh, to think twice about holding the press conference on the lawns of his Lutyens-built Delhi bungalow. The solar eclipse is thought to be unlucky in Hindu mythology. However, Singh, who is in charge of the portfolio for science and technology, chose to proceed with his planned activities. He arrived in Delhi from his residence in Jammu just in time for the press briefing, where he celebrated Diwali.

Lalu Prasad, the head of the RJD, has returned after traveling to Singapore two weeks ago for medical care. He was permitted to leave the country between October 10 and October 25 by a Delhi court. If the court grants him permission, Prasad, who is presently residing at the Delhi home of Misa Bharti’s eldest daughter, will probably travel to Singapore once more for additional therapy.

It is unknown if he will travel to Bihar before the by-elections for Mokama and Gopalganj on November 3.

Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel’s birthday is on October 31, and the University Grants Commission has written to higher education institutions all around the nation requesting that they host exhibitions on his life.

Colleges and institutions have the option to display a specially curated digital exhibition created for the occasion by the Indian Council of Historical Research and the Indira Gandhi National Centre for the Arts.
