Social entrepreneur Sanjay Sherpuria’s book “Jal Prabandhan” was released by the Governor of Jharkhand Mr. Radhakrishnan
Social entrepreneur Sanjay Sherpuria’s book “Jal Prabandhan” was released by the Governor of Jharkhand Mr. Radhakrishnan in the presence of many dignified celebrities, including Padma Shri Ram Bahadur Rai and the Transport Minister of Uttar Pradesh.
On 17th April at the India International Centre, New Delhi, on the occasion of the birth anniversary of former Prime Minister of India Shri Chandrashekhar, an attached programme of the G20, a symposium was organised by Narendra Modi Adhyayan Kendra and Yuva Bharti Trust on the topic of “Clean and Safe Water,” which was attended by many people from Delhi and Uttar Pradesh.
On this occasion, during the programme, the book “Jal Prabandhan”—”Jan Sanchay Mein Jan Bhagidari,” edited by Dr. Sanjay Sherpuria, a social entrepreneur and elemental thinker of the country—was released. After the release of his book, Dr. Sanjay Sherpuria said that, when Prime Minister Narendra Modi was the Chief Minister of Gujarat, he started building small check dams in areas of Saurashtra and Kutch where even drinking water was not available.
He solved the water problem of entire Gujarat by building a check dam with public participation, and since then and to date, he himself has been a participant in this work. At this function, he highlighted the restrained management of water and said that, if in our country too, water becomes a national issue and a water grid is created, then the problem of water in the country can be solved in the coming years, and this work can be done only through public participation.
In this function, Padmashree Ram Bahadur Rai, group editor of Hindustan Samachar, said that , on the birth anniversary of Shri Chandrashekhar, a dialogue on water has been kept because, when Chandrashekhar visited India, he had five main issues and that, out of the five issues, one was water. Mr. Rai said that, while talking to him privately, once Chandrashekhar had said that, when there is a national crisis, only the R.S.S. can save the country.
He also said that the people of Delhi should ask the government to account for the expenditure of thousands of crores in the name of Yamuna cleaning, because this work is not visible anywhere. On this occasion, Transport Minister Shri Dayashankar of Uttar Pradesh said that Chandrashekhar was such a personality who always aimed to work for the people by moving away from political cause and favour.
The Governor of Jharkhand Shri Radhakrishnan was the chief guest who welcomed the G-20-attached water dialogue organised on the birth anniversary of former Prime Minister Shri Chandrashekhar. SPWD, Director Mr. Gautam Das said that no person or state has the right over water. He said that it is a matter of pleasure that so many people participated in the programme organised on the topic of water. Mr. Jasim Mohd. kept his view on the outline of the programme and gave a vote of thanks before concluding the programme.
