These Seniors Are Exempt From Submitting A Life Certificate In November 2022
For those receiving government pensions, the annual life certificate, or Jeevan Pramaan Patra, must be submitted by November 30, 2022. However, private sector personnel receiving a pension from the Employees’ Provident Fund Organization (EPFO) under the Employees’ Pension Scheme (EPS), 1995, have a different deadline for submitting the life certificate.
The validity of the Jeevan Praman Patra is 12 months from the date of the prior submission.
According to a December 2019 EPFO circular, the system of submitting life certificates or Jeevan Pramaan Patra by Employees Pension Scheme, 1995 pensioners in the month of November, each year may be replaced by a system of submitting life certificates or Jeevan Pramaan after a year from the date of submission of the last life certificate or Jeevan Pramaan. In order to continue receiving their pension, retirees must submit a life certificate or Jeevan Pramaan in the same month of the next year.
You would have to make sure to submit your Jeevan Pramaan Patra as an EPS 1995 pensioner no later than November 25, 2022, if you have submitted your yearly life certificate on November 25, 2021. If you don’t submit it by this date, you will stop receiving pension payments starting in December 2022.
