While 2 people in the front seat (The driver and the adjacent passenger) survived due to, both wearing seat belts, when colluding with the divider, Airbags deployed (Inflated) and both of them survived.
The 2 passengers who were sitting in the rear seat (including Cyrus Mistry were not wearing a seat belt). Here are the learnings to be learnt from the Car mishap.
- Our roads are not meant to drive beyond 70 – 80 Km/hr. Hence safety precautions have to be followed all the times
- Always wear a seat belt (front & rear) mandatorily whether it is on a highway or during city driving (as we have to apply brakes due to speed breaker, traffic, etc.
- Ensure while driving on the highway, ensure that our car should have airbags on the front and rear. This will come as handy when the vehicle collides and chances of survival are high.
- Always drive slow and have control of the vehicle and drive safely. Apply brakes gradually and do not apply sudden brakes to the extent possible, unless it is inevitable.
- Indian highways are not that safe , because of few careless People, animals appear suddenly on the roads, etc.
