The Central Government has changed the entire process of the Padma Awards in order to ensure the contribution of every citizen of the country in building a new India.
Not the status of the person receiving the Padma award, but the significance of his work is being recognised In New India, the common man can also receive the country’s one of the highest civilian award, the Padma Award, for his outstanding work.
Common citizens of the nation are now receiving Padma Awards. The Padma-award has been given to people who are usually not seen in big cities, newspapers, or on television and in the ceremonies. Most of the names on the Padma awardee list are so obscure that people outside their field may be unaware of them. When their works are mentioned, however, people say they are the real hero of New India.
