A website owned by a company affiliated with Donald Trump is now offering limited-edition sneakers featuring an image of the former president during his assassination attempt in Pennsylvania. The sneakers, priced at $299, are part of a limited run with only 5,000 pairs available. Notably, ten pairs will be randomly autographed, adding to their collector’s appeal.
The website, gettrumpsneakers.com, operated by CIC Ventures LLC, revealed this product line in a 2023 financial disclosure that identified the company’s ownership by Trump, as reported by ABC News. The sneakers are expected to ship in September or October.
The site promotes the sneakers with a compelling narrative: “Introducing the FIGHT FIGHT FIGHT High-Tops. On July 13, 2024, an assassination attempt was made on President Trump at a rally in Butler, PA. Despite the attack, Trump stood tall and resilient, leading the crowd with the powerful chant ‘Fight, Fight, Fight.'”
“These limited edition high-tops, featuring Trump’s iconic image with his fist raised, honor his unwavering determination and bravery. With only 5,000 pairs available, each one is a true collector’s item. Show your support and patriotic pride with these exclusive sneakers, capturing a defining moment in history,” the website further details.
The design of the sneakers includes the United States flag above Trump’s image. The image depicts Trump, with blood on his face, pumping his fist after being injured in the shooting carried out by 20-year-old Thomas Matthew Crooks. This powerful image has been widely used on various merchandise since the incident.
Following the shooting, Trump was notably concerned about retrieving his shoes, as reported by the New York Post. “Let me get my shoes,” Trump repeatedly told Secret Service agents who were attempting to escort him off the stage. Trump later clarified that his shoes came off when he was rushed to the ground. “The agents hit me so hard that my shoes fell off,” Trump explained. “And my shoes are tight.”
The assassination attempt injured Trump and two other individuals and tragically resulted in the death of firefighter Corey Comperatore. The assailant, Crooks, was ultimately killed by Secret Service snipers.
