In a tragic incident in Bengaluru, a 24-year-old woman from Bihar was fatally stabbed at her paying guest (PG) accommodation. The police have apprehended the accused, identified as Abhishek, from Madhya Pradesh. He is reportedly the ex-boyfriend of the victim’s PG roommate and also hails from Bihar. Authorities are currently transporting him to Bengaluru for further investigation.
The victim, Kriti Kumari, had been residing at the PG in Koramangala since March. She worked as a business development associate at a project-based learning platform. The police were able to zero in on Abhishek through CCTV footage from the PG, which helped them track his movements leading up to the crime.
According to the police, Kumari’s tragic death occurred shortly after 11 pm on Tuesday night. During the investigation, it was revealed that Abhishek would frequently visit the PG to confront his girlfriend, leading to heated arguments. Kumari often intervened in these disputes, trying to mediate and protect her roommate. She had even advised her roommate to leave Abhishek and consider living with her instead.
This intervention reportedly angered Abhishek, leading to the fatal attack on Kumari. The police are now delving deeper into the circumstances surrounding the incident to establish a comprehensive understanding of the events that led to the murder.
