TMKOC Sonu allegedly served legal notice

News Mania Desk/ Piyal Chatterjee / 15th September 2024

Every now and then, the well-known TV program Tarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah sparks controversy. The program is in the news once more as a result of rumors that producer Asit Kumarr Modi intends to sue actress Palak Sindhwani, who took Nidhi Bhanushali’s position as Sonu Bhide, for violating the terms of the “exclusivity” contract.

Neela Telefilms was going to give the young girl a notice for the same, according to a Times Of India story. Palak has refuted the reports, though.

The article claims that Palak is accepting endorsements from third parties and appearing in public without first obtaining the production house’s formal approval. Although the producers have now planned to address this infraction, she has previously got warnings for it as well. Palak told TOI that she had not received any legal notification in response to this report. The youthful actress discussed this topic with Moneycontrol.com as well. “It’s a rumor; I haven’t broken any contracts,” she remarked. We are aiming for Taarak tomorrow, with a 7 am shift, and we have not gotten any legal notification.

When asked if she spoke about the news with the producer, she said, “I informed him about the false news that’s been spreading since last night and told him it’s affecting my mental health while I’m shooting back-to-back for our show TMKOC’s Ganapati sequence. I requested him to look into this asap and clear the misunderstanding. I’m trying to find out. It’s stressful indeed but the truth will come out. I want to speak about this further, but first want to speak to the producer or his legal team. On Monday, they’ll meet me.”

Tarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah made headlines prior to Palak, but for the wrong reasons. A number of the players, including Sailesh Lodha and Gurucharan Singh, had accused the producer of failing to pay their debts, and Jennifer Mistry Bansiwal had reported mistreatment on the sets.
