The Indian government is ready to implement a stringent policy towards bankrupt Bangladesh and its interim leader, Professor Mohammad Yunus, in light of the continuing assaults on Hindu minorities. As per the reports, the police inquiry in Bangladesh has corroborated India’s assertions. The removal of ex-Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina from office and the ongoing assaults on Hindu minorities in Bangladesh form part of a strategy in which Yunus’ administration has been deceiving the global community.

A comprehensive report published by Bangladeshi police on Saturday showed that 98.4% of the assaults on Hindu temples, businesses, and homes following Sheikh Hasina’s departure from the nation were driven by political motives.

Assaults on Hindus in financially struggling Bangladesh are escalating day by day. In spite of the increasing violence directed at minorities, the Bangladeshi authorities have opted to overlook the problem. India’s position regarding Bangladesh’s interim government and its leader, Professor Mohammad Yunus, is set to become increasingly rigid because of the ongoing assaults on Hindu minorities in the nation.

This change is driven by the results of a police inquiry report, which currently aligns with India’s stance. It has become clear that since former PM Sheikh Hasina was removed from power, attacks on Hindu minorities in Bangladesh have persisted. Yunus’ administration has been providing misleading information to the international community regarding the situation. A comprehensive report published by the Bangladesh police on Saturday revealed that 98.4 percent of the assaults on Hindu temples, businesses, or homes after Sheikh Hasina’s exit were driven by political motives.

Despite numerous media accounts indicating severe assaults on Hindus in Bangladesh, authorities from Yunus’s administration have insisted that India is overstating the incidents. Nonetheless, following the examination of a total of 1,415 assaults on minorities from August 4 to August 20, 2024, the Bangladesh police have issued their statement.

Conversely, a report released by the Bangladesh Hindu, Buddhist, Christian Unity Council notes 2,010 incidents.

The police in Bangladesh reported having received notifications of 1,769 attacks in total. Out of these, 1,415 cases have been examined, while the other cases are still being investigated. Merely 20 of these incidents have been categorized as communal assaults. It should be noted that other organizations reported on December 8, 2024, that there had been 2,200 attacks on minorities in Bangladesh since August 4.
