In New Delhi, the India-AI Impact Summit 2026 gets underway.

Under New Delhi, the India-AI Impact Summit 2026 is currently under progress. It is the first global AI summit ever held in the Global South, and it will last for five days. India’s position as a pivotal forum for influencing the global AI agenda would be reinforced by the summit. Additionally, it establishes India as a facilitator and collaborator in international AI collaboration, promoting common standards, cooperative frameworks, and scalable solutions for the general welfare. More than two lakh individuals have registered online for the Summit, which has invitations from more than 100 nations.
Twenty countries’ world leaders are expected to participate. French President Emmanuel Macron, Brazilian President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva, Spanish President Pedro Sánchez Pérez-Castejón, Dutch Prime Minister Dick Schoof, Dubai Crown Prince Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Mauritius Prime Minister Dr. Navinchandra Ramgoolam, Sri Lankan President Anura Kumara Disanayaka, Seychelles Vice President Sebastien Pillay, and Bhutanese Prime Minister Tshering Tobgay are among them.
Leaders from Bolivia, Croatia, Estonia, Finland, Greece, Guyana, Kazakhstan, Liechtenstein, Serbia, and Slovakia are also expected to attend the Summit, according to the External Affairs Ministry. Over forty-five countries would send ministerial delegations to the Summit. Senior officials from a number of international organizations as well as the UN Secretary-General will participate in the discussions.
Three pillars, or Sutras, serve as the cornerstone for the India-AI Impact Summit 2026 and outline the fundamental ideas that underpin international collaboration in AI. They are: Progress, People, and Planet. Chakras or Working Groups centered on seven interrelated subject areas organize the Summit’s discussions. The seven Chakras are: Democratizing AI Resources; AI for Economic Development and Social Good; Safe and Trusted AI; Human Capital; Inclusion for Social Empowerment; and Science, Resilience, Innovation, and Efficiency.
