Golmaal 5 grows: Sharman Joshi returns, Akshay Kumar joins Ajay Devgn

Akshay Kumar’s arrival will make Rohit Shetty’s Golmaal series even more crazy. In a video released on the director’s birthday, Akshay provided an update on Golmaal 5, hinting at his own involvement in the film and confirming Sharman Joshi’s return to the series. 

Kunal Kemmu, Arshad Warsi, Ajay Devgn, Shreyas Talpade, and Tusshar Kapoor were shown in the video on the set of the movie as filming got underway. As Sharman Joshi returns to the franchise with Golmaal, fans are in for a surprise. Fifth.

Akshay Kumar shared the video on X and wrote, “Happy Birthday Rohit… On your birthday, the madness just got bigger and louder. Excited to be joining this crazy family of Golmaal 5. Let the chaos begin (sic).”

In the 2006 film Golmaal: Fun Unlimited, Sharman portrayed Laxman Prasad Apte. After nearly 20 years, he will return to the franchise with this movie. 

With Akshay’s arrival, Golmaal 5 is expected to become even more spectacular. The actor has apparently been cast in a key part in the much awaited fifth installment of the franchise. The Khiladi actor has reportedly set aside 18 days from his hectic schedule to film his upcoming horror-comedy Bhooth Bangla.

According to sources, the plot of Golmaal 5 centers on a treasure that is concealed and the frantic search for it. According to reports, the movie would follow the Golmaal gang as they become entangled in a desperate hunt for the enigmatic wealth, which leads to a number of amusing mishaps.

It’s interesting to note that Golmaal 5 will be the first full-length comedy starring Akshay Kumar and Ajay Devgn. In movies like Simmba, Sooryavanshi, Khakee, Insan, and Suhaag, the two had previously appeared together on screen. The filming for Golmaal 5, which is directed by Rohit Shetty, has started, although the release date has not yet been disclosed.
