At the 20th Rozgar Mela this afternoon, Prime Minister Narendra Modi used video conferencing to give nearly 51,000 appointment letters to recently hired young people in various government organizations. Speaking at the event, Mr. Modi stated that the Central government has continuously concentrated on giving young people the chances and skills they need to get ready for the future in recent years. According to him, the administration has also worked to make sure that the nation’s youth’s education and skills are up to date with the demands of the evolving economy.

According to Prime Minister Modi, the government is also attempting to quickly increase job prospects in the private sector. He stated that the Pradhan Mantri Viksit Bharat Rozgar Yojana was introduced with a budget of about one lakh crore in order to achieve this goal. Nearly two crore young people are anticipated to be able to join the labor for the first time thanks to the program. Mr. Modi emphasized that as part of the plan, the government is rewarding young people who land their first jobs with up to 15,000 rupees and encouraging enterprises to expand employment prospects.

According to Prime Minister Modi, India has struck free trade agreements with about 40 nations in recent years, giving the nation’s youth new opportunities. According to him, these trade agreements open up new markets and collaborations for the nation’s business owners as well as new job opportunities for young people. The world has come to trust the country’s youth because of their talent and talents, he remarked. The world has high hopes for India’s innovators, entrepreneurs, and youth strength, according to Mr. Modi.

India is currently the third-largest startup ecosystem in the world, according to Prime Minister Modi. He emphasized that Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities are home to almost half of all recognized startups. The youth of India’s villages, towns, and smaller cities are contributing significantly to the country’s new economy, Mr. Modi continued. The prime minister emphasized that young people from smaller cities are developing their ideas, starting new businesses, and giving others jobs.

On the occasion of the 20th Rozgar Mela, Minister Dr. Jitendra Singh reported a significant increase in government appointments, with nearly 10.96 lakh positions filled during the NDA government’s tenure compared to 7.22 lakh under the UPA government. The recruitment involved major agencies such as the Union Public Service Commission, Staff Selection Commission, and Railway Recruitment Boards. Approximately 12.75 lakh youths have received appointment letters across various Ministries, underscoring the government’s commitment to enhancing employment opportunities and youth participation in national development.
