CM Suvendu Adhikari Hands Over Appointment Letters To 150 Candidates
Corresspondent - Ajay Chowdhury/ 5th November 2026

West Bengal CM Suvendu Adhikari says, “Today, on behalf of West Bengal government, we held a brief programme to hand over appointment letters to approximately 150 selected candidates after receiving clearance from West Bengal Public Service Commission and completing verification process. Present West Bengal government has set target of filling all vacancies in state government, including teaching posts, at earliest. So far, we have completed or initiated recruitment process for total of 63,496 posts. These include vacancies pending since 2022 and 2024, as well as those for which new Cabinet has made recommendations. During previous government’s tenure, recruitment policies and rules were violated in government and teacher recruitment, leading to legal challenges. Cancellation of jobs of 26,000 teachers was matter of shame for West Bengal. We have decided there will be no political representatives on any recruitment board or body. Entire recruitment process will be conducted in transparent and fair manner and completed promptly.”
