Preview Shows of Dhurandhar 2 Cancelled in South, Fans Express Anger Over Last-Minute Disruption

The upcoming film Dhurandhar 2 has run into trouble just ahead of its release, with preview screenings in Tamil and Telugu being abruptly cancelled, leaving fans disappointed and frustrated.

The film, headlined by Ranveer Singh, was set to hold paid preview shows in multiple cities to build momentum before its official release. However, cinema halls announced sudden cancellations of the regional-language screenings, citing the unavailability of the dubbed versions. In several cases, theatres replaced these shows with the Hindi version instead.

According to reports, the issue stemmed from delays in delivering the Tamil and Telugu prints, possibly due to technical or distribution-related challenges. Theatre chains quickly informed audiences about the changes and initiated refunds for affected ticket holders. Despite this, many viewers expressed anger over the inconvenience, especially those who had specifically booked tickets for the dubbed versions.

The development sparked widespread backlash on social media, with users criticising the film’s makers and distributors for poor planning. Many questioned how such lapses could occur in a major multi-language release, particularly one that had generated considerable pre-release buzz.

Dhurandhar 2 is among the most anticipated films of the year, aiming for a pan-India reach. While the cancellation of preview shows in southern markets has raised concerns about its rollout strategy, industry observers believe the film may still perform strongly at the box office due to high audience interest. Nonetheless, the incident has somewhat dampened excitement among fans eagerly awaiting the film’s release.
