Trump’s Warning to War-Hit Iran: “Better Get Serious, No Turning Back”

Iran has officially stated that they are only “looking at our proposal,” despite US President Donald Trump’s claims that Iran has been “begging” for a deal. Trump said that Iran has “zero chance of a comeback” and has been “militarily obliterated” in a post on Truth Social.

He referred the Iranian negotiators as “strange” and cautioned them that “it is too late” if they don’t start acting seriously.

“The Iranian negotiators are very different and “strange.” They are “begging” us to make a deal, which they should be doing since they have been militarily obliterated, with zero chance of a comeback, and yet they publicly state that they are only “looking at our proposal.” WRONG!!! They better get serious soon, before it is too late, because once that happens, there is NO TURNING BACK, and it won’t be pretty! President DJT”, Trump wrote.

In contrast to the Iranian foreign minister, who stated that his nation was considering a US proposal but had no intention of holding talks to stop the violence, Trump’s remarks follow his assertion that Iran was desperate to reach an agreement to cease nearly four weeks of fighting.

Speaking later on Wednesday at a Washington event, Trump stated that Iranian leaders “are negotiating, by the way, and they want to make a deal …so badly, but they’re afraid to say it because they will be killed by their own people.” They also fear that we will kill them.According to a report, Trump wants to put a stop to this conflict before his postponed meeting with Chinese President Xi Jinping on May 14.

The US is facing shortages in offensive and defensive weapons and would have to resort to the use of “dumb bombs” that are used for specific scenarios or by air forces with limited budgets, The Telegraph reported. The US and its allies have used 11,000 munitions in the first 16 days of the war at a cost of $26 billion.

Pakistan’s top diplomat says indirect talks between the United States and Iran are still ongoing, even as Washington and Tehran offer opposing proposals.
