Veteran Telugu actor Chiranjeevi marked a special occasion with a philanthropic gesture by donating the entire ₹10 lakh cash prize from the NTR National Award to charitable causes. The contribution was made on the birthday of his son, Ram Charan, turning the celebration into a meaningful social initiative.

Chiranjeevi had recently been honoured with the prestigious NTR Award, which recognises excellence in Indian cinema and includes a monetary prize. Instead of retaining the amount, the actor chose to distribute it among several organisations working for the welfare of underprivileged communities. The funds were directed toward institutions supporting visually impaired individuals, orphaned children, and elderly citizens, along with financial assistance for medical treatment of a young cancer patient.

The charitable act was accompanied by a small event organised by the actor, where elderly individuals were invited to participate in the birthday celebrations. Around 30 senior citizens were hosted, provided with new clothes, and served meals as part of the initiative. Chiranjeevi personally interacted with the attendees, making the occasion more inclusive and community-oriented.

The day also coincided with the festival of Ram Navami, adding a spiritual dimension to the celebrations. Traditional rituals and prayers were conducted at home, blending personal, cultural, and philanthropic elements into the event.

Chiranjeevi also took to social media to extend heartfelt wishes to Ram Charan, expressing pride in his achievements and journey in the film industry. The gesture resonated widely with fans and followers, drawing praise for combining celebration with social responsibility.
