Modi Promises White Paper on Corruption if BJP Forms Government in Bengal

Katwa, Purba Bardhaman : Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday addressed a large public rally in Katwa, Purba Bardhaman, and made several major promises for West Bengal if the BJP forms the next government in the state.
Speaking strongly against the ruling Trinamool Congress (TMC), Modi said a BJP government would publish a White Paper on corruption and law and order as soon as it comes to power. He also promised that all those involved in corruption, including MLAs, ministers and syndicate members, would be brought to justice.
The Prime Minister said that state government employees would receive the full benefits of the 7th Pay Commission under a BJP government. He also promised more industries in Bengal to create jobs for lakhs of young people.
In a major announcement for job seekers, PM Modi said that young people who crossed the age limit for government jobs because of alleged irregularities and corruption under the present government would get special age relaxation. He added that vacant government posts would be filled quickly.
Focusing on women’s welfare, PM Modi promised monthly financial assistance of ₹3,000 for women in Bengal. He said this would help them become financially independent. He also said that under BJP rule, women in the state would feel safe and free to move anywhere at any time. Attacking what he called the TMC’s “syndicate raj,” PM Modi said that sand mining and other government projects would follow a transparent tender process if the BJP comes to power.


The Prime Minister also spoke about law and order and political violence in the state. Referring to incidents such as the Katwa blast, he warned criminals of strict action. He further announced that a Special Inquiry Commission led by a retired Supreme Court judge would be set up to investigate political violence in Bengal and punish those responsible.
Modi claimed that the TMC was in “panic mode” after seeing growing public support for the BJP and accused the party of spreading lies during the election campaign.
The rally is seen as part of the BJP’s strong push to expand its support base in West Bengal ahead of the Assembly elections.
