Rinku Singh delivered yet another match-winning performance as Kolkata Knight Riders secured a four-wicket win over Rajasthan Royals in their Indian Premier League 2026 clash at Eden Gardens on Sunday.
Opting to bat, Rajasthan Royals got off to a blazing start with Yashasvi Jaiswal (39) and Vaibhav Sooryavanshi (46) powering them to 81 without loss in just 8.3 overs. However, the momentum shifted dramatically as spin duo Varun Chakaravarthy (3/14) and Sunil Narine (2/26) tightened the screws, reducing RR to 124/5. Late contributions from Shimron Hetmyer (15) and Riyan Parag (12) weren’t enough, as Kartik Tyagi (3/22) struck crucial blows to restrict them to 155/9.
In reply, KKR stumbled early, slumping to 70/5 in 11 overs. But Rinku Singh’s composed knock, supported by Anukul Roy (29), turned the game around. Their match-defining 76-run partnership off 37 balls guided KKR to victory with two balls to spare, sealing a memorable comeback win.
