In Gujarat, the BJP wins local body elections while the Congress and AAP are eliminated.

In Gujarat’s municipal corporations, the Bharatiya Janata Party has performed admirably, gaining a resounding majority of seats and outperforming the Congress and Aam Aadmi Party in important cities.
The BJP’s continued dominance over urban Gujarat is shown by the results, which show near-clean sweeps in a number of corporations.The BJP won 158 of the 192 seats in the Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation, while the Congress got 22. Surat became a BJP stronghold once more. The BJP won 115 of the 120 seats, the AAP only got four, and the Congress only got one. The outcome represents a significant decline for the AAP, which had done well in the prior election.
The BJP won 65 of Rajkot’s 72 seats, while the Congress took 7 and the AAP was unable to secure a seat. The BJP won 69 of the 76 seats in Vadodara, while the Congress won 6 and the AAP won none.
The BJP won 44 seats and the Congress 8 in Bhavnagar (52 seats), while the AAP was once again unable to secure any.The BJP won 43 of the 52 seats in Karmasad-Anand, the Congress won 8, and an Independent candidate got one. The BJP won 41 seats and the Congress 11 in Gandhidham (52 seats). The BJP almost swept the board with 51 seats in Nadiad (52 seats), leaving the Congress with just 1.The BJP won 50 seats and the Congress 2 in Navsari (52 seats).The BJP won every seat in both civic bodies in Porbandar (52 seats) and Morbi (52 seats), demonstrating total domination. The BJP also won 51 seats in Surendranagar (52 seats), leaving the Congress with just 1. The Congress won five seats and the BJP 47 in Mehsana (52 seats). In Vapi (52 seats), the BJP won 37, the Congress 11, and the Independents 4. The BJP won 54 of Jamnagar’s 64 seats, the Congress won two, and the AAP won two.
