Trump Claims U.S. Support Essential to Israel’s Survival, Defends Iran Accord

U.S. President Donald Trump has asserted that American support has been indispensable to Israel’s security and existence, while crediting his own leadership with strengthening the country’s position on the global stage. Speaking during the G7 Summit in France, Trump said that no previous U.S. president had demonstrated the same level of commitment towards Israel as his administration.
Trump maintained that the United States remained Israel’s most important ally and argued that his policies had played a critical role in safeguarding the Jewish state. He pointed to decisions taken during his presidency as evidence of his unwavering support for Israel, suggesting that those actions had fundamentally altered the strategic landscape of the Middle East.
At the same time, the U.S. President offered rare public criticism of Israel’s conduct in the region, particularly in relation to its military operations in Lebanon. Trump expressed concern over the humanitarian consequences of attacks that resulted in civilian casualties and urged Israeli leaders to exercise greater restraint.
