In a worldwide endeavour to influence the development of next-generation 6G networks, India has joined the United States and 24 other nations. In an effort to make sure that next-generation networks represent common security interests, boost competitiveness, and spur innovation, India has joined the US and 24 other nations, according to a social media post from the US Department of Commerce.

The declaration was made following a meeting between US Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick and Union Minister of State for Commerce and Industry Jitin Prasada during the G20 Innovation Ministerial. The future of 6G technology and the significance of international collaboration in creating next-generation telecommunications networks were topics of discussion between the two leaders.

India and the US talked about enhancing cooperation in semiconductors, artificial intelligence, and data centers during the meeting. MoS Prasada shared a system for AI protections, suggested bolstering the AI technology cooperation, and promoted the idea of additional US investments in ISM 2.0.

The US Department of Commerce and the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy (OSTP) convened the G20 Innovation Ministers meeting in Chapel Hill, North Carolina, on September 1 and 2. Jitin Prasada led the Indian delegation.

The G20 Innovation Ministerial Statement, which highlighted the potential of emerging technologies to boost wealth, productivity, and opportunity, marked the end of the meeting.
