RASHMI Group Leads Cleanliness and Plantation Drive at Hijli Rural Hospital in Kharagpur

Kharagpur : As part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative, Orissa Metaliks Private Limited (Unit-I), RASHMI Group, conducted a special cleanliness and plantation drive at Hijli Rural Hospital, at Kharagpur.

The program, organized in line with the Government of India National movement ‘Swachh Bharat Abhiyan’, was graced by the BMOH of the hospital Dr. Atanu Patra. The drive was led by Natabar Biswal, DGM CSR, RASHMI Group.

On the occasion, the BMOH himself auspiciously inaugurated the greening initiative by planting a sapling. Thereafter, the nursing staff and health workers of the hospital spontaneously participated in the cleanliness drive shoulder-to-shoulder with the officials of Orissa Metaliks. They cleaned the outpatient department and the surrounding premises of the hospital.

Regarding this noble initiative of RASHMI Group, Bhaskar Chaudhuri, Executive Director of RASHMI Group, in his special message said, “Along with industrial progress, our main goal is the overall welfare of the society. This cleanliness and plantation program at Hijli Rural Hospital is a part of that social commitment. Orissa Metaliks Unit-I, RASHMI Group will continue this trend of public welfare activities in the coming days to maintain ecological balance and improve public health.”_

The BMOH of the hospital highly praised this initiative of RASHMI Group and expressed his gratitude.

Spontaneously participating in this cleanliness and plantation drive, a Senior TB Lab Supervisor of the hospital said, “A hospital is a place where sick people recover, so it is essential that the environment here always remains germ-free and clean. This initiative of RASHMI Group has made our daily work environment more beautiful and secure. The way we all cleaned the surroundings of the hospital and planted saplings today is dispelling our work fatigue and giving us a new positive energy.”_

The Epidemiologist of Hijli Rural Hospital, Kharagpur said in his speech, “This kind of scientific cleanliness drive will play a very significant role in improving the standard of public health by controlling hospital-acquired infections and preventing the spread of infectious diseases.”_

Speaking on the occasion, DGM CSR of RASHMI Group, Natabar Biswal said, “RASHMI Group has always believed not only in industrial production, but also in maintaining ecological balance and social development. Our endeavor to build a healthy and beautiful society will continue in the coming days. This immense cooperation from the hospital authorities will inspire us to undertake bigger social works in the future.”
