Brand New Day has created a major milestone at the Indian box office, emerging as the highest-grossing Hollywood film in the country. According to trade estimates cited by Pinkvilla, the latest Marvel release has collected around Rs 485 crore in India, moving past Avatar: The Way of Water, which had previously held the record with approximately Rs 465 crore.
The film’s impressive performance has placed it at the top of the list of Hollywood’s biggest earners in the Indian market. Its current total also puts it comfortably ahead of Avengers: Endgame, which earned around Rs 445 crore during its theatrical run in India.
The success of Spider-Man: Brand New Day is particularly notable given the strong history of superhero films in the Indian market. Avengers: Infinity War occupies the fourth position with an estimated Rs 298 crore, followed by Spider-Man: No Way Home, which finished with around Rs 264 crore. Disney’s The Jungle Book is sixth with approximately Rs 261 crore.
The remaining positions in the current top 10 are occupied by Avatar: Fire and Ash, with Rs 225 crore, while Christopher Nolan’s The Odyssey has earned an estimated Rs 201.25 crore. The Lion King stands at around Rs 189 crore, and Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness rounds off the list with approximately Rs 160 crore.
Spider-Man: Brand New Day’s box office journey is not over yet. With its momentum continuing, the film is expected to cross the Rs 500 crore mark in India. Trade projections suggest that, if its strong run continues, the movie could potentially aim for a total approaching Rs 600 crore. Meanwhile, The Odyssey is also expected to add to its current tally, with trade estimates indicating that the film could eventually finish at around Rs 225 crore in India.
