The 2nd Viet Nam Forum has organised conference on theme “Enhancing Viet Nam – India Comprehensive Strategic Partnership Towards 2030” in commemoration of 50 years of diplomatic relations between India and Vietnam. This conference was held at the Vietnamese Embassy, New Delhi on 21 December 2022. India is the third country to have Comprehensive Strategic Partnership with Vietnam; the other two are China and Russia. This conference was aimed to take stock of the progress of the bilateral relations and brainstorm on how to increase the depth and breadth of the comprehensive strategic partnership between the two countries and to cope with new complexities and uncertainties of today’s world.

In his introductory remark, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Hai, Vietnamese Ambassador to India has emphasized about the relevance of having strong relations between Vietnam and India and the contemporary geopolitical scenario, specifically with reference to Indo-Pacific concept. The speakers of different sessions of the conference have summed up the geopolitical, economic, strategic, security and connectivity issues of bilateral and multilateral concern. On this occasion, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Hai, Vietnamese Ambassador to India has launched the Special Edition of “Vietnam-India: Comprehensive Strategic Partnership” published by The World & Viet Nam.
Ambassador Dr. Mohan Kumar, Dr. Do Thanh Hai ,Deputy Chief of Mission, Prof. G. Jayachandra Reddy, Dr. Prabir De, Dr. Le Thi Hanh Nga, Dr. Vu Le Thai Hoang, Dr. Nguyen Tran Tien, Dr. Anand Mishra, Dr. Pankaj Jha, Dr. Om Prakash and Dr. Abira Bhattacharya participated in the deliberations
