75 years of Indo-US Economic Relations” was celebrated by the Indo American Chamber of Commerce East India Council in Kolkata


 Indo American Chamber of Commerce – East India Council is celebrating “75 years of Indo-US Economic Relations”-” and to celebrate India’s 75 years of Independence, Indo American Chamber of Commerce – East India Council organized an economic conclave on the topic of “Perspectives of Indian economy respect to global scenario “and “Positioning of Indian economy in terms of Indo-US trade on 24th August 2022 at Kolkata Hyatt.

Ms. Melinda Pavek – The Hon’ble Consul General of USA, has inaugurated the event, along with Ms.Vandana Yadav (IAS) – Secretary, Industry, Commerce & Enterprises Department, and Government of West Bengal & MD – West Bengal Industrial Development Corporation Ltd (WBIDC) (A Government of West Bengal Undertaking).

The program was in context to current global economic scenario for our members and industrial fraternity of eastern region to understand the recent Socio, political and economic developments impacting the global economy and where and how safe Indian economy is placed in terms of Indo-US trade, the necessary steps and precautions of business community were discussed as  in order to have sustainable economic growth.

Mr. D.K. Joshi – CRISIL Ltd, Mr. Debashis Sen – Managing Director, HIDCO, Mr. Chandra Shekhar Ghosh – CMD- Bandhan Bank, Mr. Sanjeev Paul – Vice President, Safety, Health & Sustainability –TATA Steel Ltd,
Mr. S. Bhattacharya, Rtd.IAS – Former CMD – Coal India Ltd,Mr. Chanakya Chowdhary– Vice President, Corporate Services – TATA Steel Ltd and Mr. Nirupam Chaudhuri – Regional Director (East) – NASSCOM.

 And the program was Moderated by  Prof Suman Mukherjee.
