Popular former teacher of Bhorakhai High School passed away

SILCHAR – Meghnarayan Goyala , a popular former teacher of Bhorakhai High School, passed away on November 28 while undergoing treatment in a private nursing home. He was 89 years old at the time of his death. As soon as the news of Goyala’s death spread, the entire Fakirtila area fell into mourning. Numerous people visited the deceased’s house and paid their respects.
Late Goyala was an popular teacher. After retiring from teaching, he won an election to become regional village council member and did social service. He also served as a member of the Hindi Consultative Committee of the Ministry of Heavy Enterprises, Government of India. Late Goyala is survived by three sons and four daughters and three daughters-in-law along with host of grandchildren.
Delhi-based international journalist Ratnajyoti Dutta, Rajya Sabha MP Susmita Dev, Supreme Court lawyer Dhrubendu Shekhar Bhattacharya, social worker Ashish Halder and Assam University employee Chandrajit Nunia expressed deep grief over the death of Goyala.
