“Panchayat” Season 3 to Premiere on May 28, Promises More Laughter and Warmth

Popular comedy drama series “Panchayat” is set to make a triumphant return with its third season on May 28, announced streaming service Prime Video on Thursday. The highly anticipated season will see the reunion of the stellar cast, including Jitendra Kumar, Neena Gupta, Raghubir Yadav, Faisal Malik, Chandan Roy, and Sanvikaa, who will reprise their beloved roles. Directed by Deepak Kumar Mishra and written by Chandan Kumar, the latest installment of the show, created by The Viral Fever (TVF), will debut in Hindi, with dubs available in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and Kannada.
“Panchayat” has garnered widespread acclaim since its debut, captivating audiences with its heartwarming narrative set against the backdrop of rural life in Phulera, Uttar Pradesh. The series follows the journey of Abhishek Tripathi (Jitendra Kumar), an engineering graduate who reluctantly takes on the role of secretary at the local panchayat office. With its charming portrayal of everyday village life and satirical take on societal issues, the show quickly became a fan favorite, prompting the release of its second season in May 2022.

In anticipation of the season premiere, Prime Video treated fans to an interactive online event, where participants uncovered the launch date by plucking virtual laukis (bottle gourds). The innovative marketing campaign engaged nearly one million fans over three days, generating excitement and anticipation for the upcoming release.
Vijay Koshy, President of The Viral Fever, expressed excitement about bringing another season of laughter and warmth to viewers. He teased that the third season of “Panchayat” would feature even more hilarious antics and heartfelt moments, offering a deeper exploration of life in Phulera.
Actor Chandan Roy, known for his role as the affable office assistant in the series, teased that the upcoming season would be filled with “crazy events,” promising audiences an unforgettable viewing experience.
