PM blesses Anant Ambani-Radhika Merchant at ‘Shubh Aashirwad’ ceremony
Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant got married on Friday (July 12) after months-long pre-wedding events in India and abroad. Anant, 29, oversees the renewable and green energy expansion for Reliance Industries Ltd, a major oil-to-telecom conglomerate. While Radhika, also 29, is the daughter of pharmaceutical tycoon Viren Merchant and serves as the marketing director for Encore Healthcare, her father’s company.
Mukesh Ambani and his wife Nita Ambani welcomed PM Modi and escorted him to the venue where hosts of celebrities, film stars, cricketers, business tycoons, and politicians were in attendance.The guest list for the reception on Saturday was similar to the one for the wedding a day before.
The attendees included Bollywood bigwigs such as Amitabh Bachchan, Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan, Ranbir Kapoor and others. Ace cricketers, including Sachin Tendulkar, Mahendra Singh Dhoni, Jasprit Bumrah, Hardik Pandya, and Suryakumar Yadav also attended the gala event.
The event was also graced by top politicians such as Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, his deputies Devendra Fadnavis and Ajit Pawar, RJD chief Lalu Prasad Yadav, Samajwadi Party President Akhilesh Yadav and his wife Dimple, and Shiv Sena (UBT) chief Uddhav Thackeray.
