Spectrum Artists’ Circle, is a group in Kolkata who celebrated the world of Art.
49th exhibition at Visual Art Gallery ,India Habitat Centre, New Delhi,from 26th September to 30th September 2024.
Spectrum Artists’ Circle, Kolkata was started their journey from 1982,in the world of Art. Many painters and sculptors took part with their activities.
Nine members with Spectrum Artists’ Circle. Now our group 49th exhibition is going on at Visual Art Gallery ,India Habitat Centre, New Delhi, from 26th September to 30th September 2024.
1.ANUP KUMAR GIRI …He is one of the senior member of our group. His
unique specialization lies in portraying the life and culture of marginalized Indian populations using mediums like pen and ink ,acrylic ,oil Painting and charcoal.
2.ANUPAM KARMAKAR ..He is a well known jewellery Designer .Though he does not agree to retouch from his painting world. Our national flower lotus is his subject, which gives us more energy.
3 .BISWAJIT MONDAL..He is one the founder member of Spectrum Artists’ Circle. Biswajit is much active in painting world. He is searching our humanity through joker’s activities. He uses fine lines, bright colours and different expressions.
4. MD FARUQUE AHMED HALDER ..He is junior most and only sculptor in Spectrum Artists’ Circle. Basically he is a realistic artist .His works based on nostalgic with childhood and sometime daily life .His Mediums are out of the track, such as Fiberglass and nails and Fiberglass with coconut shell.
5. MURARI MOHAN BASU…He is the oldest painter of the group. Normally he likes to use oil on Canvas as Medium. His works based on female portrait and landscape. Technique he follows like old masters.
6. SWAPAN KUMAR PALLEY….Swapan is very much energetic with his artwork. He is a painter as well as sculptor. His paintings are colourful and imaginary subject. His paintings makes viewers emotional and dreamy.
7. SAMIR SAHA...He is one of the founder member of Spectrum Artists’ Circle .Most hard working and he takes most responsibility for our group. He likes printing as a medium because his guru was famous Bengal based Graphic Artist Haren Das .Nature is his subject .
8. SUBUDDHA GHOSH..Subuddha likes to express himself through lights and shades. Express his colour and subject through realistic form .He depicts current affairs, ups and downs of Society through his paintings/ drawings.
9. ARPITA BASU…She is only female member of Spectrum Artists Circle. She use water colour as her medium. She choose her subject from daily life of urban livelihood. Arpita use bird’s eye view
perspectives her composition .
