After eight years away, Pakistani actor Fawad Khan is making a comeback to Bollywood. “Abir Gulaal,” the romantic comedy that marks Fawad’s comeback, stars Bollywood actress Vaani Kapoor opposite him. On September 29, the movie’s London filming got underway. Aarti S. Bagri will helm this movie as director. Rakesh Sippy, Avantika Hari, and Vivek Aggarwal will produce it concurrently.
When introducing the movie, the producers released this image of Fawad Khan and Vaani Kapoor together. This movie is reportedly scheduled to be filmed in the UK in October and November of 2024. The filmmakers are working hard to turn this movie into a major global production. Its supporting cast includes a plethora of outstanding artists from India and the UK. For this movie, a well-known Bollywood musician has already composed six original songs, which are performed by well-known Bollywood vocalists. Details on the same, though, have not yet been made public.
Fawad’s film ‘The Legend of Maula Jatt’ caused a great deal of controversy in the nation recently. October 2 was the scheduled release date for this movie throughout the nation. Nevertheless, strong protests in other locations prevented its publication. Additionally, Raj Thackeray, the original head of the Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS), fiercely objected to the movie’s release and declared that he would never permit the release of a Pakistani artist’s movie in Maharashtra.
The 2016 Bollywood movie “Ae Dil Hai Mushkil,” starring Ranbir Kapoor, was Fawad’s final production. Prior to this, he contributed to the 2014 release of “Khubsoorat” and the 2016 release of “Kapoor and Sons.” He will now return to India after an eight-year absence.
