Maintaining a Healthy Lifestyle and Routine Tests Vital for Reproductive Health
Kolkata, December 13, 2024: Globally, around 15-20% of women face difficulties conceiving naturally, a figure that is steadily increasing due to high stress levels, poor dietary habits, and lack of physical activity. Fertility typically declines between the ages of 35 and 45, noted Dr. Karunakar Marikinti, a Consultant Gynaecologist and IVF Specialist.
Speaking at a unique workshop on ultrasound machine usage at Vivacity Multispeciality Hospital in Madhyamgram, Dr. Marikinti emphasized the critical role of a healthy lifestyle and routine tests in ensuring women’s reproductive health. Dr. Marikinti, a Senior Faculty at the International Society of Ultrasound in Obstetrics and Gynaecology (ISUOG), London, UK, explained that the condition of the reproductive tract can influence fertility, contribute to miscarriages, hinder fetal growth, and affect a woman’s overall health.
“Detailed assessments, including precise radiological and ultrasound tests, are vital to identify potential issues within the reproductive system,” he stated.
Ms. Rita Das, Executive Director of Vivacity Multispeciality Hospital, highlighted the hospital’s commitment to adopting advanced technology and best practices to address the growing infertility concerns among couples. She added that Dr. Marikinti’s vast experience offers valuable insights for the hospital’s specialists.
This workshop reflects the increasing need for awareness about reproductive health and underscores the importance of integrating advanced diagnostics and lifestyle management for better outcomes.
By adopting healthier habits and undergoing routine check-ups, women can take proactive steps toward maintaining their reproductive health and overall well-being.
