West Bengal Government Revises Bakrid Holiday Notification

The Government of West Bengal has issued a revised notification regarding public holidays for Id-Ud-Zoha (Bakrid) in 2026.

✅ 28th May 2026 (Thursday) has now been declared a public holiday on account of Bakrid.

❌ The previously notified holidays on:
▪️ 26th May 2026 (Tuesday) – Day before Bakrid
▪️ 27th May 2026 (Wednesday) – Bakrid

have been cancelled.

As per the notification, both 26th and 27th May will now be working days for all applicable government offices, institutions, and establishments across the state.
