Science City Kolkata Celebrates Its 29th Anniversary with Special Programme for Children of Manovikas Kendra, Kolkata

On the occasion of its 29th Anniversary, Science City Kolkata organized a special programme for the special children of Manovikas Kendra, Kolkata, promoting the importance of science education, creativity, inclusion and experiential learning.

The programme highlighted the role of science in everyday life and the need to create awareness among children about scientific thinking, curiosity and observation. Through engaging activities, the event encouraged young minds to explore, question and understand the world around them in a joyful and meaningful way.

As part of the celebration, a Sit and Draw and a Colour the Image activity were organised, where the children expressed their creativity and imagination through colours. A Nature Study session at the Butterfly Garden of Science City Kolkata provided them with an opportunity to learn about butterflies, biodiversity and the importance of conserving nature.

The children also participated in various interactive science game activities, which helped them experience scientific concepts through fun and hands-on learning. These activities demonstrated how science can be made accessible, enjoyable and inspiring for everyone.

Speaking on the occasion, Shri Pramod Grover, Director, Science City, Kolkata, said, “Science belongs to everyone, and every child deserves the opportunity to explore, learn and discover.
