India, UK Review Defence Cooperation at Consultative Group Meeting

New Delhi, August 21, 2026: India and the United Kingdom reviewed their bilateral defence cooperation during the India-UK Defence Consultative Group (DCG) meeting held in New Delhi.
Defence Secretary Shri Rajesh Kumar Singh co-chaired the meeting with UK Permanent Under Secretary for Defence Jeremy Pocklington. Discussions focused on strengthening cooperation in defence research and development, industrial collaboration and military exchanges.
The two sides reviewed progress under the India-UK Vision 2035 and the 10-Year Defence Industrial Roadmap, aimed at deepening long-term strategic and defence ties between the two countries.
Both India and the UK reaffirmed their commitment to enhancing mutual security, expanding defence-industry cooperation and promoting strategic autonomy through stronger indigenous capabilities and sustained military engagement.
