In front of Raksha Mantri Shri Rajnath Singh and Minister of Civil Aviation Shri K Rammohan Naidu in Bengaluru, Karnataka, on September 18, 2026, Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) will deliver Dhruv Next Generation (NG) helicopters to Pawan Hans Limited (PHL) and Light Combat Aircraft (LCA) Tejas Final Operational Clearance (FOC) Twin Seater Trainers & HTT 40 Basic Trainer Aircraft to the Indian Air Force (IAF).
The handover is a significant turning point in the nation’s path toward self-sufficiency since it will demonstrate the part HAL and its industry partners are playing in bolstering the domestic aerospace ecosystem. Additionally, it would show the industry’s growing capacity to create, develop, and produce cutting-edge systems for both military and commercial uses.
The event will be attended by Chief of the Air Staff Air Chief Marshal AP Singh, Secretary (Defence Production) Shri Sanjeev Kumar, Secretary, Ministry of Civil Aviation Shri Samir Kumar Sinha, CMD, HAL Shri Ravi K, and other senior officials from the Ministry of Defense, Ministry of Civil Aviation, IAF, PHL, regulatory bodies, and stakeholders from the aerospace and defense sectors.
Promoting domestic design, development, and manufacture in the aerospace and defense industries has been given top priority by the government. Another step in enhancing domestic skills and lowering reliance on outside resources is the implementation of these platforms.
