Chandigarh: The Congress is undertaking an organisational restructuring in Haryana, with the exercise being led by newly appointed AICC state in-charge Sanjay Dutt. The proposed framework aims to strengthen the party’s grassroots network through a layered organisational structure covering booths, mandals, blocks and districts, alongside a dedicated party cadre. The restructuring comes after the Congress remained out of power in Haryana for 12 years and follows its recent electoral setbacks in the state. The exercise is focused on improving coordination between different organisational levels and strengthening the party’s presence at the grassroots ahead of future electoral contests.
