Mulayam Singh Yadav, the founder of the Samajwadi Party and a former chief minister of Uttar Pradesh, passed away on October 10, 2022, according to his son and former chief minister of Uttar Pradesh Akhilesh Yadav. The age of Mulayam Singh Yadav was 82.

Since August 22 Mulayam Singh Yadav has been receiving care at the Medanta Hospital, and on October 2 he was moved to the intensive care unit.

Since then, he had become fairly critically ill and was receiving care in the ICU from a large group of medical professionals.

Mulayam Singh Yadav, the founder of the Samajwadi Party, was mourned by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who also noted how highly regarded he was as a modest, grounded, and sympathetic leader.

In a tweet, Union Home Minister Amit Shah stated: “Because of his exceptional political abilities, Mulayam Singh Yadav Ji remained involved in politics for many years. He advocated for the restoration of democracy during the Emergency. He will constantly be regarded as a local leader. An era in Indian politics has come to an end with his passing.”

Sonia Gandhi

Sonia Gandhi, the head of the Congress, stated on October 10 that the death of Mulayam Singh Yadav, the leader of the Samajwadi Party, has silenced those who advocate for socialism.
